A problematic steep garden required our expertise. Our client purchased a new built house on a step hillside location in leafy, Sear Green, near Beaconsfield in Buckinghamshire. The garden behind the house had been laid to lawn and was perilous and almost impossible to cut with a lawn mower.
We suggested creating retaining the soil to create a large planting area on the bank and to incorporate a woodland walk with themed planting areas under the trees. All was agreed and the work started.
The lawn was cut and removed, retaining hard wood sleepers were securely placed to retain the soil and the areas made ready for planting. The remaining part of the lawn was thoughtfully shaped around the planting. A woodland walk was formed using bark chippings.
