The project objective was to create an effective paddock boundary, instant hedge of 30 linear metres, at 1.5 metres, minimum height. The hedge needed to screen from passing traffic on the Maidstone road and a neighbouring building and car parking area. The new screen needed to be supplied and planted in an economical way using hedging plants that can be easily maintained and grown on in a formal manor. It was essential that the hedge species was non-toxic to horses.
Laurus nobilis (Bay), a non-toxic, evergreen plant that responds very well to pruning and creates very good hedges. During my site visit I noticed one growing close to the house which was looking healthy and very happy in its location. This was obviously a good sign.
- Laurus nobilis (Bay) hedging plants
- 1.75-2.0 metres total height
- Fully formed and instant at 1.5 metres high
"We just wanted to say how pleased we are with the hedge, it looks lovely and finished off that edge of our property really well. It gives us the security from the road and is so tall it looks like it has always been there. Your team were very friendly and worked really hard to get the job done and answered all my questions on the day. As the irrigation was not on the original invoice, could you please let us know the remaining balance and we will get that over to you as soon as we can.
Thank you again for all your help and advice – we have no hesitation in recommending your first rate service and would definitely use you again ourselves."
